Class up your car or truck a little and let em know what team you
root for. NFL car floor mats look great and are fun to have. Much
cooler than the boring ones that come with your car. Me, I have the
Broncos my home team. If I didn’t have the Broncos, I would probably
choose the Bears. That is the team I grew up cheering for. Either way, I
like them, it adds a little of color to my interior.
With the NFL draft coming up, it will be time for many college
players to get rich. And I mean rich! How about a 10 million
signing bonus just to sign your contract. Not bad for your first
job out of college. I suppose with that, they should be able to
afford some NFL apparel. Maybe a hat or jacket of the team
that just signed them. Let me see, my first job paid me 3.50 an
hour.
With all the changes to NFL football, do you think the ref’s are
throwing to many NFL flags. Seems you can’t do this and you
can’t do that. touch a guy and you get a flag. Trouble with the
flags, is it really slows down the game. And if they need to review
it, it really takes a lot of time. I love the game, but it is getting to
long. Add in the commercials and you can kiss 4 hours goodbye.
The best thing to do is record it and then you can zoom past everthing
but the game.
With the NFL draft coming up, there will be many college football players
who will get a chance to play pro football. One thing is for sure. There will
be several players who were great in their NCAA football jerseys who will
be a bust in the Pro’s. Quaterback’s seem to lead the class in this category.
That is because more is expected of them and they want them to develop
sooner because they have so much money invested in them. With so many
teams guaranteeing salaries now, the risk is greater than ever.
All the good or really good free agent football players are now locked
up with new teams and new contracts. If you played for one team your
entire career and then switched teams and NFL apparel, it must take some
getting used to. First you have to move to a new city, find an house, get to
know your new team mates and then get to work. I am sure it isn’t easy, but
the millions of dollars probably help ease the pain. I know it would for me.
With free agency going on, the Denver Broncos are getting some really
good players. They have spent millions of dollars doing so. Pat ,
the Broncos owner may not be able to afford even cheap NFL merchandise
when this is done. The draft is coming up and he is going to have to spend
millions more. Hope he doesn’t have to give up his luxury suite and sit in
the stands with the rest of us
Peyton Manning will play in Denver for another 2 years. Wouldn’t you
if you were guaranteed 40 million dollars. Guaranteed! Wow! I guess he
can now buy a Bronco’s NFL fitted cap instead of one of the adjustable ones.
Probably can also afford to order a pizza from one of his many franchises
and take it to his wife’s NBA team to watch the game.
Many players are getting their NFL rugs pulled out from under them right now.
If you are a player getting up there in age and are commanding a large salary on
a team with cap problems, you know what I mean. The team will either ask you to
reduce your salary to stay or they will cut you. Sure wish someone would ask me to
reduce my salary from 12 million to 8. I would surly do it.
With all the college football players doing the best they can to impress the
NFL teams trying them out, they must be wondering what team they will go
to. Who’s NFL luggage tags will they be sent. What city will they be moving
to. What an exciting and nervous time it must be for them, when their dreams
are about to come true about playing in the NFL. Just wish I had some talent.
I just read that Roger Goodell, the commish of the NFL made 29 million
dollars last year. With that kind of money, I am sure he can afford some
NFL toys. No more free hats or jerseys for him. Maybe that is why he
fines some many players, to up his income.
