Many pro teams are looking at head coach Les Miles at LSU to be their next NFL head coach. Miles has made LSU into a staying power in the toughest conference in the country. He also has some NFL coaching experience. Miles was the tight ends coach for the Dallas Cowboys for two years. May pro executive believe he has the talent and now how to coach the 21st century player. Many are comparing him to Jimmy Johnson who went from college to Dallas and won a Super Bowl. Will Miles switch to NFL apparel? It’s a tough transition, many college coaches have tried and failed. My guess is, if offered an opportunity, he’ll try it. Whats’ more satisfying than winning the biggest game in sports.
Head coach Les Miles may be the next hot college coach to go into the pros. In the last few years, Miles has intrigued NFL teams, but they thought he was a goofball. That has changed. Now NFL teams see him as someone who can lead a professional franchise. Some say he is the most intriguing coach to come along in a long time. Just goes to show you what winning can do. He also has 2 years experience in the pros coaching tight ends for the Dallas Cowboys. Miles may be the next great college coach to change his NCAA gear for pro gear. Many college coaches have failed in the pros, but at the end of the year, many teams will be looking for a head coaching change and the pickings are slim.
The Denver Broncos could have easily won their football game on Sunday if only they would have released the Tebow. Four times they tried from six feet out and could not score. Kyle Orton does not give them many options as he is strictly a pocket passer. Tebow has the ability to scramble, he led the Broncos in rushing touchdowns in 2010 with six playing in spot duty. It’s time for head coach Fox to use Tebows special NFL gifts if he wants to win games. He may not be polished enough to start, but his ability in the red zone cannot be denied. Broncos, if you want too win, RELEASE THE TEBOW.
College football needs more coachs like Dabo Swinney in NCAA apparel
Dabo Swinney is in his third year as head coach of the Clemson Tigers. After going 6-7 last year, Tiger fans were wanting to get rid of him. He is exactly what they need in a head coach wearing NCAA apparel. He goes to church, has a outgoing personality that draws in top recruits, but most of all he runs a clean program. This is the type of guy I would want my son to play for. This year, he has the surprise team in football. His team beat defending Auburn and ACC favorite Florida State. They are now 4-0 and going strong. Last summer he didn’t listen to people who said they weren’t going to be very good and now he’s not listening to people who are saying their world beaters. I hope Swinney and his young team go all the way.
NCAA football jerseys eaiser to wear than those big mascot costumes
All college teams have a mascot. Many have live animals that they run out on the field. Then there is the guy who is inside a big sweaty something or other. Who in their right mind would want that job and I’m sure many do. First off, it must be extremely hot inside those things. Second, nobody knows who you are running all around the field. The Lone Ranger, Batman and even Spider Man wore costumes but at least they did some good and had some cool toys to play with. Me, I’d rather be with my friends wearing NCAA football jerseys playing the game or having fun in the stands rather than doing something like that. No glory in it if nobody knows who you are. Beside that, when you take it off, you probably stink so bad nobody want to be around you.
It finally happened, the Buffalo Bills beat the New England Patriots. For the Bills, it ends a 15 game losing streak against one of their top rivals. Rian Lindell kicked a field goal as time expired giving the Bills their second straight comeback win. Leading the way was quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick who went 27-40 for 369 yards and two touchdowns. The Bills are now 3-0 and New England now finds themselves looking up in the standings at Buffalo. A week earlier, the Bills beat Oakland 38-35. In that game they overcame a 21-3 deficit when they scored touchdowns on their final five possessions. All you Buffalo Bills fans can finally wave your NFL flags high because for the first time in many, many years, you have a football team worth watching.
If you love the passing game in football, you have to be loving it this year. So far this year, there have been 23 games by quarterbacks throwing for more than 300 yards with five of the league’s passers doing it twice. There have been six games of at least 400 yards, with Tom Brady of New England and Cam Newton doing it twice. Philip Rivers of San Diego, Tony Romo of Dallas and Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay all have over 300 yards throwing in their first 2 games. Now either the corners and safeties are not as good or the receivers have huge targets on the NFL jerseys with some stick-um applied. I don’t know what it is for sure, but I’m sure enjoying the season so far.
Why does the NCAA let top ranked teams play so many small college football teams. Nebraska, the 9th ranked team in the country played the Wyoming Cowboys Saturday. They whipped them 38-14. The Wisconsin Badgers, ranked number 6th in the country played South Dakota, whipping them 59-10. I know it’s a big deal for these small teams to play these big college programs, but it just isn’t much of a game to watch. If these big ranked teams are going to play these small teams that don’t have a prayer in hell of winning, then a least it should’nt help them in the rankings. These games are such blowouts, the bigger ranked teams don’t even need any NCAA gear to play the game. To make things even they should take away all their helmets and pads and make them throw watermelons instead.
Jerome Simpson may need to replace his NFL fitted cap for prison garb
Wide receiver Jerome Simpson of Cincinnati could be in a lot of trouble. Authorities tracking a marijuana shipment from California followed the trail to his home in Kentucky. When there, police found more drugs. The package tracked to his home contained 2 1/2 pounds of marijuana. When searching his home, they found 6 more pounds of the drug, scales and pipes. Doesn’t sound like personal use to me, seems like someone is dealing in drugs. If this is the case and he is found guilty, he will be turning in his NFL fitted cap for some nice prison garb. I’m not saying he is guilty, but the package was shipped to his home and he was there with his girlfriend when she accepted the package. No charges have been filed yet, we’ll just have to wait and see.
Ohio Nation is a disgraced football team. Coach Tressel’s reputation is in ruins. As a head coach you cannot lie to your University and the NCAA and get away with it. Their quarterback Pryor who was suspended bolted to the NFL. He reportedly cheated the most, selling memorabilia for at estimated $40,000. A once proud football team is out of the top 25 for the first time in seven years. All this will kill recruiting. What top tier player will want to play for Ohio State. If a player decides to wear Ohio State NCAA apparel he must ask the question weather he will ever play for a Big Ten Championship or a National Championship. I’m guessing no. So far Ohio State doesn’t have a commitment from a five star player. I guess the proof is in the pudding.
