The Pro Bowl for the NFL used to be a big game. You could watch all the best players in the sport in one game. Although I still believe it is an honor to be voted to the Pro Bowl, the game has become something of a joke. No more do the best players voted in play in the game. Now you see first alternates, second alternates and third alternates playing because the players voted in either do not want to play or are injured. I do not consider an alternate player a Pro Bowl player and he should not go down in the records of making the Pro Bowl. He did not make it, he is simply an alternate. Thankfully this is not as true with the boys in MLB jerseys, they seem to take more pride and it’s a better game.
